1. Terms

This page (together with the documents referred to on it) sets out the terms on which you may use this webwebsite (https://chemoinfo.ipmc.cnrs.fr, hereinafter the "website"), whether as a guest or a registered user. Please read these terms carefully before using the website: by using the website, you indicate that you accept these terms of use and you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use this website or download any content of this website.

2. About us

This website is operated by the scientists of the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology, UMR 7275, acting in the name and on behalf the National Center for scientific research (CNRS) and Nice Sophia Antipolis University (UNS), collectively referred to "the Establishments".

3. Access to the Website

The access to the website is permitted on a temporary basis, and the Establishments reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service it provides on the website without notice. The Establishments and scientists will not be liable for any reason in the event that the website is unavailable at any time or for any period.

From time to time, the Establishments or the scientists may restrict access to some parts of the website, or the entire website, to users who have registered with it.

If you choose, or are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of the website's security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any third party. The Establishments or the scientists shall have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by the, at any Establishments and scientists time, if in its opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use. Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload material to the website, you must comply with the Terms of Submission. You warrant that any such contribution does comply with those standards, and you indemnify the Establishments for any breach of that warranty.

5. Prohibited Uses

The Establishments are owners or licensees of all intellectual property rights in the website and in the content published on it. Those works are protected by national and international laws. All such rights are reserved.

Subject always to the remaining provisions of this clause 6, you may copy, modify, distribute and generally re-use the content on this website, unless expressly stated otherwise.

The Establishments' status (and that of any identified contributors) as the author(s) of content on the website must always be acknowledged.

8. Changes on the website

The Establishments and or the scientists aim to update the website regularly, and may change content at any time. If the need arises, the Establishments and scientists may suspend access to the website, or close it indefinitely. Any data on the website may be out of date at any given time, and the Establishments are under no obligation to update such data.

9. Establishments' liability

The Establishments will make every effort to operate this website with reasonable care and skill. However, the Establishments are public research organizations devoted to research; and in order to protect its assets for the benefit of those objects, the Establishments impose the following limits on the Establishment's liability.

To the extent permitted by law, the Establishments expressly exclude:

• all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute or the law;
• any liability for any indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with the website or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of the website, any website linked to it and any materials posted on it, whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable; and
• any liability for loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profits or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, loss of goodwill or wasted management or office time, in each case whether direct or indirect and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable.

You undertake to make no claim in connection with the website or in connection with the use of the website against any employee, student, agent or appointee of the Establishments and scientists (except for claims in relation to fraud or wilful misconduct).

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes the Establishments and scientists'liability for: death or personal injury resulting from its negligence; any fraud; or any other liability which, by law, cannot be limited or excluded.

If any provision of this clause 9 is held to be invalid or unenforceable under any applicable statute or rule of law, then it shall be deemed to be omitted to the extent that it is invalid or unenforceable, and if as a result the Establishments and scientists becomes liable for any loss or damage which would otherwise have been excluded then such liability shall be subject to the remaining provisions of this clause 9.

10. Personal Information

The Establishments and the scientists process personal information in accordance with this clause 10. By using the website, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

The Establishments and scientists may collect and process the following information about you:

• personal information provided by filling in forms on the website: this includes information provided at the time of registering to use the website, uploading material or requesting further services;
• any correspondence between the scientists and you; and
• details of your visits to the website and the resources that you access.

The Establishments and scientists may collect information about your computer, including (where available) your internet protocol address, operating system and browser type, for system administration. This is statistical information about our users' browsing actions and patterns and does not identify an individual.

The Establishments and scientists may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie data which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. They help the Establishments and scientists to improve your use of the website.

Establishments and scientists use information held about you in the following ways:
